Important Information About Using Our Service
Understanding Resold Surveys: Please Read Carefully
We believe in transparency. Buying or selling a used survey report through Used Home Surveys has specific limitations you must understand:
Informational Purposes Only: A purchased report provides valuable insights but is not a substitute for commissioning your own RICS survey. We strongly advise obtaining your own survey for full due diligence.
Not Accepted by Lenders: Mortgage lenders will not accept a resold survey report from this platform. You need your own survey for a mortgage application.
No Surveyor Liability: The original surveyor has no contractual liability to the buyer of the used report. Their duty was to the original client.
Non-Transferable Nature: RICS reports are typically non-transferable. You purchase access to the information at your own risk.
Report Age & Condition Changes: Property conditions change. Consider the survey date when assessing relevance.
Used Home Surveys provides the platform; the transaction is between buyer and seller based on these understandings.
